Last weekend, my girlfriends and I hosted a baby shower for our friend Dai. Despite our procrastination, Virali coming down with pneumonia the week of the shower, and Azhar calling an audible on the favors (sorry, I’ve got football on my mind) from Utah where she was in the middle of a product launch for work, we managed to pull it off. That’s what happens when you’ve got three Type-A’s on the job. We had about an hour to set everything up, and thanks to Dai’s husband, Pierre-Alexandre hanging up the hot air balloons and the pom-poms/clouds, we were finishing up just as the first guests started to arrive.
All of the girls were so happy for Dai and showered her and her little girl with the most adorable baby gifts. I learned a lot, maybe too much, about the birthing process. I cannot wait for the little one to arrive and meet all her aunties. We plan on spoiling her rotten…sorry, Dai!
