Self-Portraits

My final homework assignment for Nicole Hill’s Photo 102 class was to do two self-portraits – one photo of me and one photo without me. For the second photo, I’m supposed to take a photo of objects that represent me. I still haven’t done the second photo yet and I still haven’t submitted the first since I’m not too happy with it, but here’s a first attempt at the first…

Nicole would not like the picture below, but since Digital Photography School had a Weekend Challenge for a photo of My Camera and Me, here it is:

As a side note, it is really hard to take a self-portrait without a remote control. I can’t even use Andrew’s remote because for some reason I don’t understand, Canon decided to not include the infrared sensor in the 40D model. Argh…

    Aww, you look pensive and sweet in that first shot.
